On the 1st of July Palermo changed into city of love becouse of the amazing event held in the city - Pride Parade 2017. We as a participants of Erasmus+ Project "Europe is our Pride" along with Italian Association Uniamoci Onlus were very happy to get a chance to be part of it. We started the preparation on a day before. Together with Polish, Romanian, Estonian and Italian group we had came up with very creative ideas how to decorate the track that we used during the parade. Thanks to posters, paper flowers, flags and baloons it became very beautiful and colorful like all the people taking part in the parade. The truck was a place where people can join us and have fun together to very loud, energetic music. Even before the parade everybody was dancing, singing and having fun there. It was even more exciting when the parade started and the truck moved forward with the crowd. Everybody on a truck was waving, giving smiles and kisess to the people that were passing. Positive vibes and energy was contigues! I didn't expect to have so much fun during this event. For all of as it was amazing experience. "Wonderful", "funny", "crazy", "amazing" and "beautiful", were the most common words that I heared from our group to desribe the parade. Everyone was equal during that day. No matter if you were gey, lesbian, transgender or disabled and etc. - everyone could feel the support from others. We are all equal in diversity so rights all of people should be respected. We really wish that it was always like this, not only during the parade. The Palermo Pride Parade was a lot of fun for us. But it was also very thought-provoking. At the end we were all very proud of who we are and that we took part in this unforgettable event.

Yesterday there was the Pride Prarade, before its start we blew up the ballons, we created fans, little hearts and origami filled with positive messages to be delivered to the people. We waited for the track to come, and when he was there we covered it with pink balloons and strips in the colors of the participating countries. Out side the track we hung up the banner of the organization and the one of the project, named “Europe is our Pride”. Then we get on, at first the disabed youth and after all the others. Afterward the track started and the party started as well, we drunk beer and wine, danced like crazy. We had fun as never before. We made a new experience that I didn't expect.

This is my fifth PRIDE and this one was simply wonderful, with a lot of people having fun, laughing, dancing as one whole  family, united against those predjudices that are ruining the world little by little as a cancer: to see so many people in peace always moves me, a good feeling originates from seeing a crowd made of people of all ages, fight, laying down the mental barriers towards all the differences, from the skin color to sexual orientation, to disability; about barriers, thank to some help, we managed to lay down again a barrier: about 20 people with disability on a wheelchair managed to get on a very big track, and yet we did it! who could even immagine it! So last year with my car and this year with the track, we paraded right down the streets of Palermo: for me it was really amazing, most of all doing it during a youth exchange, with youngsters coming from different European countries: Poland, Estonia, Romania and  for sure even us, the itailans; it was only possible thanks to the European Union.

This experience was unforgettable, there were no barriers, neither mental nor physical: we were one group. The games we made were a lot but the one that left a mark on me and Flaviana was to experience a small board for communication with the alphabet letters where the disabled person point the letters using his nose. During the meetings we had the opportunity to taste some typical foods form the participating countries: the chocolate and salami from Poland and Romania were our favourite. The dancing evening was awesome with the typical dance from Poland, the romanians in typical dressing and our Tarantella Siciliana. Friendship with them was real, authentic, sincere and long lasting.

The activities regarding the youth exchange with the foreigners that I liked the most were:

1) the mime: I liked it a lot because to be understood you was allowed to move just your lips and it made it very difficult.

2)The Bomba Energiser: I liked it because the game consisted in pass around a hat starting from a normal speed to a growing one and it created in us hurry and laughs.

3) The description of the diversity among man and woman: it was to my liking because it was necessary to find out the differences among a man and a woman related to the character, cliverness and mophology of the human being.

I was sleeping and I found myself ina dream. That dream is called Uniamoci Onlus, inside this sign there was Europe is our Pride, where you can meet wonderful people as Elo Strauss, Ola Wolska, Ave Mae e kasia Jach are, they make you feeling good, even if they have a different culture and religion, they make me feel at home and pampered. Most of all when we participated to the pride they took care of me, they didn't judged me, they accepted me even when I was dancing and acting crazy ... A special thanks to ... Elo, because she, looked into the part of the pride parade mood, for fun, accepted a kiss on her lips by me. During the parade we were dancing, wearing make-up: make-up, another dream, because it gives you the chance to be what you are. I was a crazy butterfly, my soul was like that, with the wish to fly from a person to the other, to kiss and hug and shine as a firefly during the evening, giving joy to who is looking at me.
